For centuries, people have used plants for their healing and therapeutic properties. Before there was a grocery store there was a garden, and before there was a pharmacy there was also a garden.
The study of these properties of plants is fascinating to me, and I am cultivating a wide variety of herbs and medicinal plants. From the traditional culinary fines herbes combination of chives, chervil, tarragon and parsley to the classic herbes de provence blend of savory, marjoram, rosemary and thyme, you’ll find it all in this sunny space.
Therapeutic and healing herbs like calendula, camomile, comfrey, feverfew and lemon
balm are also grown here seasonally, and I dry them for a wide range of uses. I’m always excited to learn about a new plant or a new use for an old plant, and to add new herbal goodness to The Farmstand shelves.
