I’ve been anxiously waiting for three weeks for my seed order to arrive…and today it finally did. A thousand seeds, of four different types of lavender. This weekend, we’ll be seeding 10 trays of lavender and putting them in a warm space in the house to germinate.
Germinating herbs can be very difficult, so I’ve over-ordered the seeds based on a 25% germination rate. Here’s hoping that I’m lucky, and that we’ll have between 250 and 500 lavender seedlings ready to plant by the time that the ground is nice and warm in mid June. This will form the outer ring of our lavender labyrinth….and we might even see flowers this year!
