I don’t think that there’s anyone out there who doesn’t love art and doesn’t want original pieces in their home.
There are many barriers to collecting art though. Some people don’t have the time to browse in galleries. Some people don’t have a great deal of wall space to work with. And some people don’t have a great deal of money to work with.
I have thought a great deal about creating prints of my work and offering them for sale, but have decided that this is just not a direction that I want to go. There is something so wonderfully tactile about the texture of the original paper and the way that it interacts with the paint. And there is something very special about having a one-of-a-kind image hanging on your wall. So how to break down the barriers to bringing home original art? Farmstand Smalls!
Beginning this month, in addition to the larger works that I will be offering for sale in the shop, I will also be starting a collection of small original pieces grouped in themed collections, like Bistro, Fleur, Seashore and Rustic. These paintings will range from 5×5 inches to 11×16 inches, and will be priced at $25 or $50, depending upon the size.
Each one is unique and hand framed in a unique hand painted frame, and the frames in each collection will coordinate with one another. Have a small space that needs brightening? Then one of these delightful smalls will be just the thing. Have a larger space that you don’t know what to do with? Then a grouping of smalls will make a great conversation piece. Start with one…and grow your collection over time! They’re great for gift giving, too.
